Muse-o-rama - July 28th, 2006

Knew that there would be one more weird thing this trip, something that tied in to the Cirque story. I'm getting a tattoo in a couple of days, and I've been working on the design (riffing on a Japanese family crest, with gingko leaves) and I needed a circle template. I'm at my pal Suze's here in Vancouver, so I grab a shot glass from her cupboard. She always picks up shot glasses from her travels (I am so not commenting on that, okay?). I don't pay any attention to where it's from.

I design the crest to my own satisfaction, ink it up. Pretty pleased with it. I put away the glass and as I put it away, I think, "You know, it might be important to know where this is from, since the dimensions will be on my body until the end of time (if I happen to drop dead on a glacier or something). Might make a good story."

I peer at the design -- it's from Las Vegas, Bellagio Hotel. Cirque du Soleil show 'O'.

So nothing weird about that.
