Reminder about selling out!
Hi everyone! Now I'm in Toronto! Isn't it amazing how I get around?

Since I'm so footloose (not in the Kevin Bacon way), I thought it best (for philanthropic reasons) to remind Folks That Give a Crap that the closing date for the Sweet Charity auction is tomorrow! That's right! Tomorrow!

I'm auctioning off two bound copies (each a double volume set with hundreds and hundreds of pages) of Single White, Double Yellow: The Red Series. This set contains all the stories I consider to be in the Red 'verse: Red, Dazzleland, DNR, Fire in the Hole, Verbal and The New Deal. All have been re-edited solely for this edition. The set also contains EXTRAS: an essay about how Red came about and what I Think It Means (god, could I sound more pretentious?), a missing scene (from The New Deal), personal notes for Red, Fire in the Hole and Dazzleland taken from my notebooks (no one's seen these before, trust me), a diagram from Dazzleland, location photos for Dazzleland, Red and The New Deal, as well as mondo new colour covers by our miss [info]smilla02.

Yeah, you want this. I retain all rights, of course, and I may reprint at some point if I get around to it, but right now? This is the big kahuna.

Oh, man. Honestly? I wouldn't recommend that. You'll get people pouring in from all directions wanting one and you'll end up both out of pocket and run off your feet. There will be other auctions!

Oh, I'd love to have it, but I don't my budget will allow me to outbid anyone. But, yeah, that'd be total awesome to have. If you ever get around to printing more, I'm definitely interested!

That should be, I don't THINK I have the budget to swing that. I went and checked, and nope. *is disappointed* Anyway, glad to see you back and kickin' it! I can't wait to carve out some time to snuggle up with your newest fiction :D.

Ah, I remember the ramen days. I remember going to Chinatown and sharing a bowl of ramen with my roommate. Then we'd stay up until 4 am so we could knock on the backdoor of Rosebud Bakery (regrettably no longer around) and the guys there would sell us stuff hot, right of the rack for, like, NOTHING.

I'll see what I can do...

Aw, sweetie. I have bad news. I promised that I'd deliver the auctioned item by November 4. The auction closed last week. :(

On the other hand, the copies went for over 120 bucks each! Which is good for the charity! I'll see what's what in a bit and figure out if I can create some other kind of access for folks...I love your Sam icon.

well damn! and other rude words too...altho on the other hand I can't be unhappy about the price they went for as that would not be generous (no matter how I feel about it...no...no...) ::sigh:: congrats on such a successful item :-)

If they do get released in an electronic way or other format I would lovelovelove a copy if possible so thanks for thinking of us :-)

And yes ... poor Sam ... he was so nonplussed by dear Gert's attentions :-) I kinda loved and hated it at the same time. If you like it feel free to use it.

Can I ask? What ever happened to Bear Hunt 3...

Bear Hunt 3 has been shot and I'm now trying to block out time to put it together. God bless you for noticing! We've had to work around the strike this year, which meant that we had fewer locations to spot (even so, we got some good ones).

I'll keep you posted! We're waiting to see what the first ones off the press look like!

I'm not into selling my own fanfic, which is why this was an auction item, but I may make it available for any old person whatsoever to print up (or just look at on screen, or whatever, that's your business...)

but I haven't decided because I'm indecisive that way.

Hey there -- wow...thanks! I really do appreciate it. Please, yes, friend away. I haven't been writing much (fanfic) lately, so I feel a little crappy taking the accolades (what have I done for you LATELY, eh?)
