It Finally Happened!
I had a Supernatural dream! And it SUCKED.

I dreamed I was waiting to watch the season 5 premiere (that's good news, right?), and I was really, really excited, and it was one of those dreams where you're watching it, and then you're in it, and then you're watching it again, right?

The show completely jumped the shark: the boys were running a baby daycare, but it deked you out in the first few minutes, had you thinking that the babies (and the yummy mummies) were theirs, and then the camera panned out and you realized it was...a daycare! The small town in which they lived was all a-buzz with a rumour of a 'Winchester cousin' had just breezed into town, who turned out to be identical twin girls who were (in my opinion) just plain weird-looking. And then I brought the cousins a pastrami sandwich (it was open faced and totally lame, only about two puny slices on stale rye) while saying loudly, "Allow me to advance the plot," and they all went on an adventure (I dropped out then) and there were unicorns involved, and a golf cart, but everyone acted like they couldn't see the unicorns, including the leads. The unicorns didn't add to the plot, like, AT ALL.

Colour me perplexed.

You know, for a crappy episode dream, that's actually kind of awesome.

Yeah, but I don't know what they were thinking with the unicorns. And there was no sex. Which actually might be a plus, given the possible partners.

I hate it when that happens! I'd love to dream about Supernatural, but not jumping the shark. :( Thanks for sharing. :D

It was one of those vivid waking-up dreams. I sent an email as soon as I woke, so I had it all there, otherwise I would have forgotten it. Since I've been having anxiety dreams about work for the last three months, this was a welcome break. Even if it sucked!

Seriously? Duuuuuuuude.

I.... don't think I have words. Hee!

(Although if I were to take a stab I'd interpret the unicorns as being the as-yet unacknowledged promise of a happy ending, because of those rainbows they fart out of their asses.)

So. Maybe not such a bad thing, after all. *g*

They were little tiny things, too. They were the size of cocker spaniels. WEIRD.

I don't know why I was serving up such a bad pastrami sandwich, though.

I know!!! If they're taking up screen time, they ought to at least DO something! But no, these ones were like medium sized dogs, and they sat on everyone's laps as they drove around the golf cart and NO ONE MENTIONED THEM.

But...but..but then there would be sex, right? Or...maybe the unicorns were um...in the golf carts...on people's laps (I'm not kidding, they were SMALL unicorns) and if the golf cart was a phallic symbol then. Eh, screw it. I'm not salvaging this one.

Okay, wait a minute. I don't think I've had a unicorn dream before in my whole entire life. And now, I get my first-ever Supernatural dream, and there's UNICORNS. Not one. Not two. There were four or five of the little mongrels.

Now I gotta figure out where the golf cart was GOING. Damn.

I woke up at the ungodly hour of 6:00 am, because I had to get to work early, and I'd had an awesome, awesome day yesterday, where I just NAILED everything I did, after feeling like an incompetent ASS for months and months on the job. And so my reward is (instead of the recurring anxiety dreams where I wake up clench-jawed)...THIS?! I mean, really.

What the fuck. Unicorns. Pastrami. ALL TRUE.

(I didn't even mention the underground cave scene. It was all bizarre).

Yeah, blame workity work work on the non-posting thing. Actually, I am writing, but it's original fic, so it won't be up here anytime soon. Also, it's a novel and though I'm about half-done, it's still in draft 1 stage. But there are ghosts involved and stuff.

The dream was totally surreal, and lobster totally could have figured in it, but would have totally upstaged the pastrami on rye. Especially if they were live lobsters!

So that's where the crack-dreams went! They're attacking your brain instead of mine! Like the one where trying to tell Misha Collins I like his work makes the planet explode, or the one with the wee!chesters and the zombie bees, or Winchesters VS Godzilla, or the one where orange juice is the key to my fabulous Mary Sue powers, or the one where Sam has been turned into a tiny horse or the one where John Winchester is molested by/amourously involved with a giant anthropomorphic skunk in purple swashbuckling garb, or the one where Anna gives Dean super angel powers and he winds up teleporting himself Sam and the Impala into a mermaid trap run by Captain Jack Harkness (from Torchwood) in an Aquaman costume, or the one where Earnest P. Wharhol (as in "Earnest goes to Camp") possessed the Impala's tape deck, or the one where either Sam and Dean/Jared and Jensen were in my roleplaying group and Sam/Jared was abnormally fascinated by 'moose culture' and it made me sprout antlers.

Yes, yeeeees. It has you now. It starts with pastrami and daycares and unicorns and golfcarts, but that's juuuust the tip of the iceberg. BwahahahaHA!

Ahem. Or maybe it's just a frustrated golf!fic bunny.

Last night I had a dream that the Obamas (all four of them) came and stayed with me as my guests at my childhood house. It was AWESOME. I love Obama dreams, this is the third I've had, the first being 2 or so years ago, before he was even a real contender for the dem nomination.

For a girl who writes amazing fic you have some very weird dreams. The pastrami sandwich alone is enough to concern me. Pastrami is fine but open faced and two puny slices on stale rye, that my friend is not good. At all. I kind of like unicorns, but them not adding to the plot. Oh c'mon if you must have a unicorn than it must "advance the plot." The golf cart? Golf cart instead of the Impala. Just plain bad.

Thanks for sharing the weirdness though. And Season five sounds good!

Have you ever thought that it's the dreams that provoke me into writing? No? yeah, okay, me neither.

The strange thing with the sandwich is that I knew at the time it was nasty-ass; I know what good pastrami should be like, and I was serving up this lame thing. My dream-self knew it was bad, but it was necessary for the plot.

Unlike the unicorns.

It's all your fault! Now *I* had a Supernatural dream. One of those nightmares where you wake up panicked and shaking.

Except Sam and Dean weren't in mine. I was on a road trip with my friend [info]miz24601 or maybe [info]quellefromage... they are nothing alike, but I think one of Q's daughters was with us, too, so I'm confused...

Anyway, we checked into a motel and were killing time until SPN aired and we'd gotten the time zones confused and didn't realize it until the episode was 45 minutes in. And then we got into a big humungous fight on whether to go ahead and watch the last 15 minutes or not. And then I woke up.

So, the bad news is, no Sam and Dean. But the good news is, no unicorns either, I guess.
